Student Volunteer Pool

We value our relationships and partnerships with numerous schools, entities, programs, departments, and tribal communities and provide ongoing support to help young people explore the wondrous opportunities related to health sciences and healthcare careers. NAHS understands the significance of being present with youth and families and strives to create opportunities to uplift communities, youth, and families.

We invite WSU Health Science students to volunteer, mentor, and inspire youth throughout the year. NAHS offers numerous opportunities for students to volunteer and join our student volunteer pool. When one of our programs is in the pre-planning phase, our department will utilize the student volunteer pool and call upon students to see if they can help support and volunteer within that specific program.

One of the many benefits for WSU students is the experience gained from volunteering and working with tribal communities and tribal youth. Understanding Traditional Knowledge and other culturally relevant practices allows WSU students to gain insight and genuine experience that helps strengthen the relationship between service providers and patients.

Stipends and honorariums may possibly be provided. If you are a WSU student, please check with your scholarship/financial aid representative to ensure this does not have an impact on your scholarship or financial aid.
