Many Medicines Sports Clinics

Integrating Sports and Health Sciences

Na-ha-shnee Many Medicines Sports Clinics are an extension of our youth pathway programs that adds a sports clinic component to health science education. The Sports Clinic engages youth interested in basketball, volleyball, running, football, and other sports. These clinics are multi-day camps where participants can learn from WSU health science students and faculty about related health careers like sports medicine, physical therapy, and nutrition. The Sports Clinics also provide opportunities for WSU Health Sciences personnel to teach during the camp and help build participants’ capacity within a specific sport.

This program features two components to help students learn about sports-specific health career tracks: Instruction from WSU Spokane faculty to cultivate students’ knowledge and a sports clinic where students can apply their knowledge to drill and develop their skills in that sport.
