Pathways to success

Native American Health Sciences (NAHS) offers pathway and support programs to recruit, matriculate, and help students succeed as they pursue healthcare careers in medicine, nursing, pharmaceutical sciences, nutrition and exercise physiology, speech and hearing sciences, and other allied health sciences.

While NAHS lives on the WSU Spokane campus, we serve students, staff, and faculty across our five campuses and rural communities throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Our office is in the Center for Native American Health along the Spokane River, and upon the original homelands of the Spokane Tribe of Indians. Here, we have our 24-hour student center, clinical simulation space, and tribal community room where programs like OLDWAYS for first and second-year health science students take place.

Native American Health Sciences Fund

This fund allows the Office of Native American Health Sciences to meet its most urgent needs in the areas of teaching, scholarship, student support, research and community driven initiatives.

Support for the Native American Health Sciences Excellence fund will provide transformational opportunities for students and will aid in student academic success while providing a culturally holistic centered space for our communities to engage.
