NAHS hosts youth video game tournament

WSU Native American Health Sciences presents Native Gaming Youth Video Game Tournament. Open to the community on July 24, 2025 at the Magic Lantern Theatre. Doors open 6:00 pm.

Youth can learn about technology in health sciences and compete in a video game tournament! Native American Health Sciences invites youth ages 18 and under to a FREE video game tournament open to the community. We are excited to host this event in partnership with Native Gaming.

Registration

The NAHS Youth Video Game Tournament is open to ages 18 and under and requires a completed application. This application must be completed by both the grade school student interested in attending and their parent or guardian.

Parent/Guardian Attendance Required

In order for youth to participate, the parent/legal guardian MUST be present with the participant for the duration of the program.

Meet the Native Gaming team

David LaVeaux (AKA LakotaBourne), Creative & Talent Direction

David LaVeaux, also known as LakotaBourne, is a Native American content creator and oversees Creative & Talent Direction for Native Gaming. He is Mnicoujou and Itazipco from the Cheyenne River Lakota Nation in South Dakota, and has spent the last 2 years working for Native Gaming.

Brittney Raines, Content Creator & Twitch Streamer

Brittney Raines is a Native American content creator and Twitch streamer for Native Gaming. She creates content and plays competitive Call of Duty/Warzone, along with other FPS titles. She is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma/Mississippi Choctaw community and advocates for Indigenous and Women’s representation in the eSports scene.
