The Little Birds pathway program provides age-appropriate learning opportunities in both Western medicine and Traditional Knowledge teachings for early learning and elementary students in schools and communities around Spokane, Washington.
The Little Birds approach helps build self-confidence and self-esteem around the health sciences and cultural identity, inspiring youth to discover possible careers in the healthcare field.

WSU Spokane health science students help guide Little Bird activities, gaining experience working directly with the community. Your generosity supports memorable learning opportunities for WSU students and Little Bird participants.
Gifting Impact
Hatchling Helper: $75
Your gift equips 5 children with their own toy stethoscopes and toothbrush sets. These simple tools help inspire them as well as teach the basics of caring for themselves and others through playful checkups with their teddy bears.
Nest Nurturer: $150
Your gift provides 10 child-sized lab coats, helping students step into the shoes of doctors, nurses, and community caregivers. This symbolic moment helps them see themselves as future health leaders.
Chirping Champion: $500
Your support provides a full set of clinic supplies including teddy bears, first aid kits, plant medicine kits, and oral health tools; for 10 students. Each child will leave with new knowledge and pride in their culture.
Wing Warrior: $1,200
Covers accommodations for our full facilitator team, allowing them to deliver this immersive clinic to children in underserved communities. Your gift ensures these caring adults can do the important work of inspiring and educating the next generation.
Friend of Flight: $5,875
Make the entire Teddy Bear Clinic possible for 50 children. Your gift will fund all supplies, travel, meals, crafts, and educational activities. This is more than a donation, it’s a legacy of wellness, community, and future opportunity.
